Snowshoe Mountain is the Southeast region's largest ski resort, with 60 slopes and trails, 14 lifts including 3 high-speed detachable quads, and a 1,500 ft. vertical drop.
"We are pleased that our Season Pass Holders can enjoy this generous benefit at one of the Eastern United States' premier ski resorts," said Brad Moretz, Appalachian Ski Mtn. General Manager.
Meanwhile, Appalachian opened its Ice Arena a week early because of record cold weather, and for the first time in its 47-year history was fully open by Thanksgiving Day.
In the belief that some guests do not look favorably upon the experience of skiing and riding through the wet, icy blast of snowmaking guns, the area will continue its policy of not making snow on open slopes.
Night skiing also began early at Appalachian, with all trails available.
