Going in the SkiWelt, Austria's largest ski area, has launched a series of package ski trips at discounted rates in January.
Booking a Winter Vitality Weeks will give you access to the newly connected ski area of Westendorf - part of the pass for many years, but only now connected by a new gondola lift to Going and the otherv SkiWelt resorts.
The seven-day package is available between 10th and 31st January and includes seven nights' accommodation, a six-day skipass SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, and a whole range of included activities.
These include a visit to the Aggstein distillery in Going, a chance to try curling (eisstockschießen) with hot spiced glühwein, an entry to the skating rink in Going, nordic cruising in Söll, an aqua fit with sauna session in Panoramabath Söll, a night biathlon adventure in Scheffau, and an evening ticket for the Astbergbahn Going or the cable car Söll to enjoy a toboggan-evening.
Packages are available from 349 Euros for bed and breakfast in a pension, with other types of accommodation available at a higher cost.
The Ski Welt offers 279km / 174 miles of trails, the largest lift linked terrain in Austria. It also holds the title of having the most artificial snow covering in the country, when needed.
The SkiWelt has skiing for all standards, but is also the archetypal 'Intermediate's paradise'. A circuit which links together more than 20 category red runs is available on request from ticket and tourist offices. Experts have eight blacks on the circuit to enjoy, one of the best is from the top of the Höhe Salve above neighbouring Söll down through the Leukenwald.
The area is part of the huge Kitzbüheler Alpen Ski Pass, an alliance of five ski regions offering a combined total of 260 lifts, giving you unlimited skiing opportunities. The Kitzbüheler Alpen Ski Pass covers more than two dozen ski resorts (lift-linked in to the five areas) with a combined total extended for this winter to more than 1,000km (625 miles) of runs.
