Lots of action in store this weekend for the Northeast and Midwest including a big chill. Cool and rainy for the South and dry in the West. RC
The Northeast continues to benefit from a series of weather systems and that continues through the weekend. Look for snow dumps, possibly over a foot, in parts of Northwest PA and Western New York state. This trend will continue through the weekend and affect the Mid Atlantic region by Saturday night. Look for things to stay chilly with highs mid 20's to upper 30's.
As with the Northeast, the Midwest continues to benefit from a series of strong storms. Look for another clipper to bring snow showers to Northern Minnesota on Friday and then move across the Great Lakes Saturday and Sunday, bringing with it 2 to 4 inches of snow. This storm not only delivers snow on the front end, but lake effect snow will also develop on the back end for parts of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Dry appears to be the theme for most of the region Friday and through the weekend. Chance of snow showers for Washington and Montana on Friday and for the Northern/Central Rockies on Saturday.
