Whitetail in Pennsylvania is offering a passport deal as an enticement to keep first-timers coming back through the season.

Here's how it works:

First-timer skiers or riders age 8 and up purchase a regularly priced First Class or EZ Package and complete the beginner lesson, then are eligible to buy a Mountain Passport for $45. The Mountain Passport provides a free lift ticket, class lesson, and rentals on the next visit, and 40 percent off lift tickets and rentals for the rest of the season.

Whitetail also will throw in free class lessons - one per day - for the rest of the season.

The Mountain Passport is also valid at Liberty Mountain and Ski Roundtop.

Restrictions? The Mountain Passport is available only to new skiers and riders who have completed their first-time beginner lesson and have not had a Mountain Passport, Advantage Card, Night Club Card, or Season Pass at Whitetail Resort, Liberty Mountain Resort or Ski Roundtop.

The Mountain Passport is available for purchase in Guest Services after the first-time beginner skier or rider has completed their first-time beginner lesson. A signed instructor card and punched lift ticket are required to purchase the Mountain Passport.

The Mountain Passport is non-transferable.
