Eaglecrest Satisfies Its Customers; Locals Love It

An Eaglecrest kind of day. An Eaglecrest kind of day.

They must be doing something right up there at Eaglecrest Ski Area. The locals seem to really like the place.

The Juneau-area resort conducted a Web survey last summer of present and past Eaglecrest visitors who live in the region on a range of issues, including satisfaction with services offered at Eaglecrest, season pass and lift ticket pricing, and steps the ski area could take to enhance the experience and increase use of the area.

Some 1,109 people completed the on-line survey, including 618 who had downhill skied last season, 246 who had cross-country skied and 232 who had snowboarded (some respondents participated in more than one snow sports activity).  A total of 308 respondents had neither skied nor snowboarded at Eaglecrest during the 2007-08 season, including 108 who had never skied or boarded at Eaglecrest.

Nearly nine of 10 (88 percent) Eaglecrest users indicated they were either very satisfied or satisfied with the facilities and services offered at Eaglecrest, while only four percent  were dissatisfied.

Respondents noted a range of things that would encourage them to ski or board more often at Eaglecrest, including incorporating night riding, building more lifts, opening up more terrain, and having cheaper season pass and lift ticket prices.
