Cool temps in the Midwest keep the door open for some action in the Great Lakes area, warm and windy in the West, some snow in the Northern Rockies and the possibility of lake effect snow in the Northeast. Looks like next week might be a busy one! RC
Rain showers and breezy conditions through the region today. Action heats up a bit more through the weekend and we could see lake effect snow mostly south of Lake Superior. Several inches of snow could fall in the snow belts in Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northern Ohio. Unsettled weather stays in the forecast through next week.
Warm and dry for the West with above average temps, high wind advisories and high fire danger for parts of California. The Pac Northwest should have a chance to dry out and the only chance for snow action this weekend remains in the Northern Rockies.
Heavy for today in parts of southern New England as showers make an exit, but another system is brewing in the Mid-Atlantic that brings the threat of heavy rain on Saturday and the possibility of snow for the Appalachians on Sunday and Monday.
