Skiers bound for Austria can take advantage of the seasonal skibus service connecting Innsbruck with top Alpine resorts.

Austrian Airlines is launching a skibus service that will take passengers from Innsbruck directly to the slopes of the top Alpine resorts of Solden, St. Anton, and Ischgl between Nov. 27, 2008 and April 19, 2009. Services to all three resorts will operate twice daily, Thursday to Sunday, in both directions.

The Skibus service will take approximately 1.5 hours from Innsbruck to each of the three resorts and is scheduled to connect with Austrian's flights. The seasonal Skibus is in time for the Christmas holidays as well as the prime Austrian ski season.

Passengers using the Skibus service will be dropped at the main tourist office in the resort but direct transportation to hotels can be arranged. Transfers within two kilometres of the tourist office are free but for longer distances passengers can pay an additional fee directly to the driver. For more information on direct transportation to hotels contact info@oetztalerbus.at.

Prices are based on one adult, one way. Innsbruck to Solden costs €63; Innsbruck to St. Anton is €75; and Innsbruck to Ischgl is €88. Tickets can be booked online.
