More action in store for the West with snow levels dropping in the mountains. Warm in the Midwest and Northeast, but the High Plains get another shot at snow Wednesday PM/Thursday AM. RC

West

Unsettled weather today as a cold front continues to move through. Snow levels will drop fast in the mountains, with a solid chance of snow in the passes over the next day or two. Rain will move into the High Plains by tomorrow, changing to snow Wednesday PM/Thursday AM. Advisories and warnings for snow and wind are posted in many areas of the West. Unsettled in the Northwest into Friday with a series of weaker storms moving through. A potent one is in the forecast for the weekend.

Northeast

Warm throughout the region with coastal rain. As the system in the West moves East, look for cooler temps as we head for the weekend. Highs today: 50's in New England to the 70's in West Virginia.

Midwest

Record setting warm weather rolls on, but a looming storm is going to make for big changes. Showers tonight mixed with cold air change to snow for the region Wednesday PM/Thursday AM with much cooler weather by the end of the week.
