Europe's Largest Spa Hotel Gets Bigger

The Lindner Hotels & Alpentherme Leukerbad in Switzerland has reopened its doors following extensive renovation.

The Lindner Alpentherme is Europe's largest alpine medical wellness, beauty, and thermal baths complex. The spa facilities can be reached directly from the hotel via an underground passageway.

The luxury hotel in Leukerbad's historic town centre has now added even more to its bathing and wellness enjoyment. Highlights include the new Valaise Sauna Village, which extends over an area of 300 square metres and depicts a picturesque mountain village comprising four different areas: The herbal health sauna, the infusion sauna, the mist sweat-bath, and the stone bath. There also is a fountain area with thermal water source as well as the "Gemmistube" for delicious regional wellness snacks and drinks.

A spokesperson for the Lindner Alpine Spa says: "Along with the relaxing thermal waters, we also have a team of five doctors at hand, specialised in the fields of medical and alpine wellness, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, ayurveda, sports medicine, osteopathy, physiotherapy and anti-ageing."

Visitors can also opt for thalasso treatments, Scen Tao massages, Indonesian wellness treatments, Clarins Beauty Center treatments and Masai walking.
