Courchevel has the highest number of stars per square metre in the world, as far as hotels go. The luxury French resort is home to 14 five-star hotels, five four-star hotels, 16 three-star hotels, and five two-star hotels. This coming winter there are two more properties from which to choose.
The new five-star Les Suites De La Potiniere is located at 1850 metres in the heart of the resort. It offers 15 contemporary- designed suites, an exceptional 500-square-metre apartment, a bar lounge, and a spa centre comprising a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, massage, and treatment rooms.
The newly refurbished three-star Le Portetta is a family-run hotel set at 1650. It offers a wooden chalet-style interior décor with a spa, ski boot heaters, ski valet, underground car park, six independent apartments on the third floor with private lift, and use of the hotel facilities.
The Courchevel Tourist Office offers special deals on accommodation over Christmas. Skiers heading to Courchevel this December will enjoy bundles of Christmas cheer. Children can meet Father Christmas and enjoy festive shows on all four levels of the resort. Dec. 21-26. The Stars on Ice show also offers artistic ice skating for the whole family.
