The Metro Ski and Snowboard Show at the London Olympia is going from strength to strength every year.
there was an increase in numbers of visitors at last month's show and more than 200 exhibitors from all areas of the ski and snowboarding world were on hand. The show spread out over the whole balcony level at Olympia to enable them to fit even more in.
The show ran from Oct. 22 - 26 and offered a range of exciting features, including the sub-zero Trespass Ice Kingdom with its 150-square-metre ice rink, private ski technique lessons with Warren Smith, ice sculpting, a curling rink, and ice bar.
Further highlights included the Land Rover Alpine Climb where visitors had the opportunity to take the hair-raising 36-degree ascent up a 10-metre slope. The Land Rover Brand Arena and Fashion Show exhibited the latest designs from Salomon, Bonfire, Schoffel, Columbia, and Rossignol. Young skiing and snowboarding pros also reached new heights with Big Air Freestyle Demos.
The Gigloo once again provided tunes in the Parklife area with live bands, DJ sets, and b-boy workshops throughout the show. One of the most popular exhibitors was the Canadian Tourist Office with its larger than life Saint Bernard dogs and lip-smacking maple syrup taffie. OnTheSnow.com was there greeting you, too.
