Premier Resorts has decided to loosen blackout restrictions and lower prices for the holidays. These travel stimulus packages are designed to encourage Americans to continue sharing family traditions by spending Christmas and New Year's on mountain vacations. Here's a look at peak season deals offered at low season rates: 

Luxury for Less at Deer Valley: If ever there was a time to experience Deer Valley luxury for less, its Holiday 2008. Book any stay around Dec. 25 and get Christmas Day free at The Lodges at Deer Valley or Silver Baron Lodge (minimum four-night stay). Also, book four nights at Snow Park and Silver Lake condominiums during Christmas Week and receive the fifth night free from Deer Valley Lodging.

Sun Valley Christmas Discounts 15 percent:  Excellent skiing on Bald Mountain, a romantic sleigh ride, the family gathering around a cozy fireplace, and Santa's arrival on Christmas Eve.  It's happens, as the saying goes, in Sun Valley, Idaho. Stay with Premier Resorts between Dec. 19 and 25 and save 15 percent off regular lodging rates. Condominiums are still available slopeside in Warm Springs, in downtown Ketchum or at the Sun Valley Resort Village. 

Savings at the new Manor Vail Lodge:  This venerable Vail property, which has reopened after an approximately $100 million renovation, has lifted minimum night stay restrictions for December. Plus, the longer you stay - the less you pay. Stay two nights and receive 10 percent off; stay three nights and receive 15 percent off; or stay four nights or more to receive 20 percent off special holiday pricing. Offer is valid Dec. 19 to 27.
