Escape To Bogus Basin Yurt

Stay at a yurt for the total Nordic experience. Stay at a yurt for the total Nordic experience.

Spend a night or two roughing it for your vacation once the Bogus Basin road closes and grooming begins.  A completely different lodging option has been added this season. The Bogus Basin Yurt is just $100/night for up to 10 people, but there's catch: it's ski-in/ski-out only, located on the Nordic trail system, so you have to bring your own everything- practically.

The Yurt is like camping but better. The Yurt is a 27-foot diameter structure (Mongolian style tent) that sits on a 30' x 33' foot deck. It is located approximately 1 kilometer (2/3 mile) from Frontier Point Lodge. The "soft" winter lodging experience with solid shelter and wood heat beats sleeping in a tent at 10 below.

The Yurt will have some creature comforts like firewood, grey/waste water system, two burner propane cooking stove, table/chairs, bunks, futon, dishes, utensils, and a Port-A-John but your buddies will need to bring their own food, drinking water, sleeping bags, propane gas for the cooking stove and lanterns, and entertainment.  The structure sleeps 10 with four bunk beds and a futon. Book asap if you're interested. Similar rentals like the Barnard Hut in Aspen tend to book out years in advance. you may register at Bogus Basin yurt rental page
