Devils Head Resort in the rugged Baraboo Bluffs Region of central Wisconsin, unveiled a new line of luxury condominiums last winter, and they were a big hit. Six of an eventual 30 luxury units of the new Glacier Ridge Condominium Development offer new lodging life to a resort that's been around since the 1960s.

Devil's Head has been a longtime mainstay of Wisconsin ski resorts and is still the largest full-service resort in the Badger State. The Head has been good about continuing to update equipment and upgrade its lodging, it was nice to see the start of the new luxury condo units. This was the one thing missing. There weren't any luxury units that a group could rent and stay together. The best you could hope for before was to get rooms next to each other, and you always had other people around.

The new three-story units offer three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and can comfortably accommodate eight to ten people. There's a great lower level with a wet bar and lots of room for games and fun. The main floor has an open plan, a vaulted ceiling, fireplace and a wall of two-story windows to focus on that wonderful winter view. A beautifully appointed kitchen is done in warm, wood tones and features a separate dining area.

Take a virtual tour of the new facilities at Whirligig Marketing's Glacier RIdge page . They will be offering lots of incentives this winter to get you into the new units, and you won't be disappointed in your stay. The skiing and riding has always been topnotch, but the lodging was just all right; nothing spectacular. That's all changed with the development of Glacier Ridge.
