Pats Peak in Henniker, N.H., is signing up students for its Weekday Learn To Ski & Snowboard program.

The program is for school groups, runs five weeks, and is offered through school or recreation center coordinators. More than 8,000 kids from over 100 local schools have taken part in the program in past seasons.

The area's Ski and Snowboard School uses the American Teaching System, which moves students through a series of classes that build skills and develop ability.

New this season, Pats Peak, Cranmore, and Gunstock will each give students in the program one free lift ticket valid from Feb. 23 through the end of the season.

Call the Pats Peak Ski School at (603) 428-3245 for more details.

"We've added this new benefit to give students more opportunities to have fun at other New Hampshire mountains in addition to Pats Peak," said Bertie Holland, Snowsports Director at Pats Peak.

The Weekday Learn to Ski and Snowboard Program offers lessons for all abilities, with rental equipment available. The program is for pre-scheduled school groups for five weeks, with a maximum of 12 students in each class.
