Granite Peak is offering a savings of $5 per lift ticket if you order them online by Dec. 15, and to sweeten the pot you won't have to stand in a long weekend line at the lift ticket window to pick them up.  On busy weekends and holidays the Peak will have nine lift ticket windows open for people to purchase and pick up.  Five of those windows this season will be devoted to ushering through those people who bought online and are just arriving to pick up there weekend lift and lodging passes. 

The Peak is offering a lodging special that only can be found online, in addition to the lift ticket special. If you book now for anytime during the season for three or more days, the third day of both lift tickets and lodging is half-price.  The longer you stay, the more you save.  You can find the lodging deals and obtain lift tickets at Granite Peak's Web site.

The beautiful city of Wausau offers an array of great lodging choices, from quaint B&Bs to luxury downtown hotels and the normal choice of chain motels.  There are an equal number of good, eclectic restaurants to choose from around town, and the downtown area is quite vibrant with lots of local culture.  With towering Rib Mountain, home of Granite Peak, in the backdrop, it's truly a Midwest ski town.
