The Italian ski area of Kronplatz is kicking off this winter season with the ultimate ski test.

The Prove Libere Tour is the biggest free ski test organised by the Pool Sci Italia.  The Prove Libere Tour will take place on Kronplatz Mountain Nov. 29- 30, 2008.

This event gives skiers the chance to test, compare, and choose equipment to suit their tastes and requirements, guided by expert advisers from leading companies.

The sportive weekend takes place in a marquee featuring plenty of live music, entertainment, and culinary options. The following suppliers will be participating in this year's event: Atomic, Dynastar, Fischer, Head, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon, and Völkl. These eight companies will provide some 350 pairs of skis to test. Ski companies will also inform visitors on the latest news on their products.

Kronplatz reaches a height of 2,275 metres and is one of the major ski areas in South Tyrol. The Kronplatz skiing region offers more than 1,000 kilometres of slopes, 1,177 kilometres of cross-country runs, 31 modern lifts, and a wide choice of après ski with plenty of bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs. Activities for non-skiers include ice skating, tobogganing and winter hiking. This is your opportunity to try before you buy.
