Resorts in this article: Turoa

It's still snowing at Turoa which is great news for Kiwis on school holidays.  The mountain has been open on Christmas Day twice before in history and there is still a chance it could happen again.  Spring passes at Turoa launch on October 1 for $299 for adults and $199 for youths up until November 16.

There's still plenty of fun to be had at Mt Ruapehu this season with the annual Peak to Powderkeg on October 11 with a ski or snowboard down the hill, a twelve kilometre run to town then a mad dash on bicycles to the finish line at the Powderkeg pub.

Coke Zero and Von Zipper present a freestyle camp on October 13 and 14 when freestyle coaches will share tips on the terrain park and free riding with plenty of après action.
