The annual Andros Trophy car race is to be held in the French ski resort of Alpe D'Huez this winter.
Crowds will gather at the Eclose ice track in the heart of the resort Dec. 19-20 to watch the prestigious car race. The Andros Trophy attracts big-name manufacturers, with top drivers Alain Prost and Oliver Panis participating. As well as the car race, there is also the Pilot Motorbike Race on the same ice track. The Andros Trophy will begin at 7 p.m. on both days.
Continuing the car theme for Alpe D'Huez, the Motor-Show Mountain is a car fair which will take place Jan. 15 - 18. This unique event features car testing under winter conditions. This year's program includes training for driving on ice, trials on the Trophy Andros race track, and a car manufacturer's exhibition.
Alpe D'Huez will also host the Urban Alpine Ski World Cup Jan. 30-31, which is a Super G race with renowned international competitors, as well as the Europe Ski Cross Championship March 14-15.
