Mount Washington Celebrates Milestone

This winter marks the 30th anniversary of Mount Washington Resort. This winter marks the 30th anniversary of Mount Washington Resort.

Mount Washington, located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, is poised on its third decade to receive accolades associated with the upcoming 2010 Olympics. Not only is its Nordic center rated one of the top ten destinations in North America, but it will serve as the training center for teams destined for the Games. The expert trails even have lift access.

The resort's 1,600 acres of alpine skiing slopes are known for deep snow. Annual snowfall racks up to 33 feet, but it's been known to pile up as deep as 60 feet. Two terrain parks, expert glades, and steep drops lure skiers and riders ready for the big hills.
