Australasia's top surfing and snowboarding pros will be mixing it up on the slopes of Mt Hutt in Canterbury and New Brighton Beach Christchurch from September 25 - 27 at the Surf Snow Cup. Up for grabs is $10 000 in cash and prizes, and a $1500 first prize kitty for pros and $600 for amateurs.

The competition is two rounds in each discipline of surf and snow with a seeded format and a mix of invitee riders.  Entrants will be required to compete in both disciplines with Marcus Stocker from Thredbo tipped as favourite alongside Clint and Mitch Allan from Perisher and Matt Wrobel from Jindabyne.

The competition starts on September 25 with a forty man format surfing contest to decide the seeding.  A one day slope style event is then held on September 27 at Mt Hutt with a course of two lines, an A line with rails, and a B line with kickers.  The event then moves to Methven to the iconic Blu Pub for an open rail jam, fashion show, and live music including local band Good Night Nurse.
