2,000 Skiers Take The Cavourese Bus From Turin

More than 2,000 skiers heading to the Italian Alps Last winter took the Cavourese Bus Charter Service from Turin Airport. More than 2,000 skiers heading to the Italian Alps Last winter took the Cavourese Bus Charter Service from Turin Airport.

Cavourese is expecting even more passengers this season. The service links Turin Caselle Airport with the major ski resorts of the Italian Alps, including Val Susa, Oulx, Bardonecchia, Cesana, Sestriere, and Pragelato.

This Italian ski bus service was introduced in December 2006 to help accommodate the Olympic Games Torino.

"The service is comfortable and convenient; pick-up and drop-off points are right in front of the airport and in the centre of ski resorts so passengers don't have to walk far with skis. The bus is also quick and direct, the longest trip is between Turin and Pragelato and it only takes 1.45 hours," says the company's Daniela Bianchi.

The service is available throughout the year, but only during weekends. There are two services each way on Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations must be made online at the Cavourese Web site. A single ticket costs from €30 per person.

Alternatively if there is space, tickets for this bus service can be paid for directly at the airport desk of Turismo Torino e Provincia.
