Northstar has expanded its advanced and intermediate skiing. Northstar has expanded its advanced and intermediate skiing.

Northstar's popular advanced and expert playground known as Lookout Mountain has grown by 500 vertical feet over the summer.

Actually, the mountain hasn't risen; the resort has extended the chair down to the bottom of the valley. Three of the existing trails have been extended, and two more - one an intermediate cruiser known as Washoe - have been added.

There has been some tree removal to expand glade skiing and boarding, and snowmaking has been installed down to Martis Valley.

    Good work North-Star, trying to make your downhill terrain more inviting, but if you want downhill terrian i still suggest going to other Tahoe resorts such as Squaw, Alpine or Sugar bowl.
