Mt. Bachelor, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, is putting its season passes on sale until the end of September, after which the prices go up by nearly 20 percent.

You get to play on North America's fifth largest resort in skiable acreage (3,683 acres, with 71 runs and 3,365 vertical) for a $799 adult no-restriction pass. The pass entitles you to receive a 20 percent savings on lift tickets at Bachelor's sister Powdr Resorts ([R314R. Park City], Utah; Boreal, California; Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, Nevada; and Killington and Pico, Vermont).

There are also 10 percent reductions for passholders at various shops and services at Bachelor. The above perks apply to young adult ($349) and teen ($249) passholders as well.

    Yes, season pass prices were lowered, but 10-day passes increased 19%. After 20-years of purchasing 10-day passes, I'm planning on taking my business elsewhere this year.
