The Arosea Life Balance Hotel (, which opened in the peaceful resort of Val d'Ultimo/Ultental last winter, is now even more appealing to skiers and snowboarders as a new cabin lift has been built next to the hotel. The new lift offers access to Schwemmalm in the Ortler Ski Arena, meaning that guests have no need for a car, with slalom, cross country skiing, and ski touring on their doorstep. The hotel aims to provide the ultimate in relaxation and fitness, ensuring that you return home feeling rejuvenated.

Alpine elements such as health-stimulating pinewood and sheep's wool dominate the design of the hotel, and the neighbouring lake surrounded by traditional farmhouses provides peaceful views from all rooms. Water is one of the central features of the wellbeing experience, with all water sources throughout the hotel, from the swimming pool to the drinking fountain in the bedrooms pumped from Grander Technology - a method that claims to retain all the truly beneficial properties of water.

After a hard day on the slopes, the hotel offers relaxing traditional South Tyrolean treatments using local ingredients such as hay, apple blossom and pine needles.

Special deals on rooms start from €105 per person per night, on a half board basis.

The Val d'Ultimo ski area has a long snow-sure season. It is part of the giant Ortler Skiarena lift pass, one of the largest in Italy. The region includes a dozen separate ski areas and there are 40 kilometers (25 miles) of trails for all abilities locally.
