"Knock on wood, we haven't had any fatalities in the backcountry this year," says spokesperson Tiana Enger. "Everybody has been doing a great job." However, the mountain still has a deep snow advisory warning issued for riders going off piste even when they are in bounds. "We recommend skiing with a partner," says Enger. "There is still a danger in the tree wells because of all the snow."
