Pre-Christmas skiers in Davos can hit the slopes for free, as part of the Skipass Gift deal, valid Nov. 18 to Dec. 23.
Book a stay in a participating hotel and receive one free skipass per night for the Jakobshorn and Parsenn ski regions.
The list of participating hotels range from two- to five-star properties. The free skipass for the Jakobshorn and Parsenn regions offers acess to a combined 52 pistes and 29 lifts. It also includes the Jatz Park and half-pipe at 2300 metres.
Skiers in Davos will also benefit from the new lift upgrade this year. The Bramabuel draglift on Jakobshorn has been replaced by a four-seater chairlift, making it faster and more comfortable for skiers to reach the region's steepest mogul piste. Draglifts now only operate on Bolgen.
Getting to Davos will also be easier this winter thanks to the new tunnel. The 3.7-kilometre Saas bypass opens Oct. 21 and should cut driving time from Landquart to Davos Klosters by 30 minutes.
The Davos-Klosters ski area extends across five regions: Parsenn/Gotschna, Pischa, Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn, and Madrisa. In total they provide access to 320 kilometres of pistes and 54 lifts.
