Fernie Alpine Resort tucked at the base of the British Columbia Rocky Mountains is already thinking about a white Christmas with feet of its typical deep snow. The Wolf’s Den Lodge, a ski in-ski out hotel-style accommodation at the base of the Fernie lifts, has concocted a special Christmas package.
Their Getaway Guide Christmas Package, good for Dec. 20, 2008 to Jan. 03, 2009, includes five nights lodging in a standard room with four days of lift tickets. Per person rates are $724 (Canadian or U.S. dollars) based on double occupancy.
Standard rooms in the Wolf's Den come with cable television, coffee maker, and fridge. The lodge also has lockers for ski and board storage and two indoor Jacuzzis for soaking tired ski legs. Kelsey's restaurant and the Slopeside Deli sit nearby in the Village Plaza.
The lodge is also offering a 20 percent discount with its Early Booking Special. The discount is given to those who book rooms for the 2008-09 season by Nov. 30 for stays Dec. 5 - 18, Jan. 4 – Feb. 11, Feb. 22 - Apr. 12.
The discounted deal requires a three night minimum stay and includes a three-day lift ticket. It also includes one free ski and snowboard lesson per reservation, and kids 12 years old and under ski free. Rates start at $274 per person based on double occupancy.
