The long trudge to hit the chutes off Kirkwood's Thunder Saddle is a thing of the past now that the resort has installed a T-bar to whisk riders from the top of Chair 2 to Lookout Vista.
Kirkwood also made access to backcountry skiing and riding in the Emigrant Basin area a bit more convenient by installing a two-stage Poma along the ridge east of the Wave.
