Steaming Ahead At Steamboat

A million-dollar overhaul of snowmaking by Steamboat took up the biggest chunk of $4 million in offseason improvements.

Other upgrades include a couple of new grooming cats, including a Tower Winch. There will be 200 new slots in the Meadows parking area, and a new fleet of top-of-the-line skis and boards in the rental shop.

Look for a new ski and sport shop in Steamboat Springs that will "bring mountain services downtown for the first time," and a whole bunch of other infrastructure stuff most guests would notice only by their absence.
