While no one wanted to speculate as to the amount of snow expected, the storm is predicted to hit later this afternoon and continue through Wednesday. At 2:45 p.m. a mountain rep said she expected to start making snow within the hour and continue for as long as possible. Cataloochee currently has fifty percent of the mountain open, skiing on six of twelve trails with three sessions of skiing available.
