Mt. Ashland decided to ax Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays from its non-holiday nighttime operating schedule, and save itself some $130,000 in operational costs. The response from loyal customers was immediate and vocal; so this week Mt. Ashland put Monday nights back on the schedule. "Bringing back Mondays is an attempt to meet both public and good business practice demands," says resort GM Kim Clark. However, "Our guests will need to do their part by making use of the restored days or we can't maintain Mondays in future years," Clark says. "I hate to put it this way, but it's either use it or lose it."
