The K2 Big Mountain Chill Series has been consolidated into one super four day event across Craigieburn and Olympus clubfields in New Zealand's Canterbury ranges.

The Canterbury region of New Zealand has been experiencing record snowfalls this winter and combined with the exciting terrain of both Craigieburn and Olympus makes the perfect playground for the K2 Big Mountain Chill event.

Due to excessive snow and weather patterns the event will now be held on consecutive days from September 4. Athletes and officials will spend two days on mountain at Craigieburn clubfield, a favourite lift accessed back country resort of the world's elite including Glenn Plake and Seth Morrison. Mt Olympus will then host competitors on September 6 and 7.

It's a big month of freeskiing in New Zealand with competitors expected to travel up from Wanaka's New Zealand Free Ski Open at Treble Cone's Motatapu Chutes on August 27 and then move on after the K2 event to the Export Gold Extreme competition at Whakapapa on September 8.
