To wait for safer snow conditions, Big Sky has postponed their opening until Dec. 2. Up in the state's northeast corner, Big Mountain has delayed theirs until Saturday, Nov. 25, when they may start up a lift or two. As of Tuesday, Great Divide is still hoping to open a trail by the weekend. "For those, like me, who have been spoiled with Thanksgiving Day ski turns, we'll have to wait just one week more," said Big Sky's Public Relations Manager Dax Schieffer. "But the forecast looks strong for a great opening when it comes."
