The folks at Mt. Ashland took a hard look at their operating costs and found a source of revenue drain was in their night-time lift operation. So this season, the southern Oregon resort won't be turning on the lights on non-holiday Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday nights.
"This was a very tough business decision, but one that we must initiate in order to operate in a fiscally responsible manner. By doing so we will be able to continue offering the services and programs you have come to expect," Mt. Ashland GM Kim Clark said in a statement.
