SolVista Basin Offers Great Family Options

The family-friendly resort of SolVista is 15 minutes from Winter Park and 87 miles northwest of Denver. It's easily accessible and affordable, and a perfect place for you and the kids to learn to ski or snowboard.
Lift ticket prices are almost half what some of the big Rockies resorts charge, at $49 for adults, and $27 for children ages 6-12. Kids five and under are free. The parking is free, too. You can get discounted lift tickets at Front Range King Soopers, Walgreens, and Safeway.
SolVista offers a full day of ski school, rentals, lift ticket, and lunch for $85. That's for kids ages 3-12. For adults and children over 12, the cost is $99 per day.
It's hard to get lost there as all runs lead back to the newly-renovated Base Camp Lodge. Most of the runs at the resort are greens and blues, making it easy for those families who are more comfortable on beginner and intermediate runs.
Lodging is available nearby. Explore the surrounding towns of Granby, Grand Lake, and Winter Park at night.
