Temperatures look to remain just below the freezing point meaning a chance of even more snow and comfortable mountain conditions. The influx of fresh snow has allowed the West Virginia resort to keep all 37 trails open including including the long and winding Timber Trail and the expert Gravity slope. Adding to the challenge, the mountain is leaving certain terrain ungroomed and au natural. Canaan will be hosting a Pepsi Amp it Up Rail Jam on Saturday with registration from 9 a.m. till noon and competition starting at 1 p.m. There are four divisions made up of boys 15 and under, boys 16 and over, all girls and all skiers. The entry fee is $10 and prizes will be provided by Pure Board Shop in Annapolis.
