"Last year we dedicated the entire South Lodge and South Peak to a freestyle terrain park. We went from about 15 percent of terrain dedicated to terrain parks to 45 percent," said Mountain Creek's Frank DeBerry.
"This year is about building on that," he said. Deberry said programs are in place for people of all levels.
"We've built a progression across the mountain up through the levels, from absolute first-timers to never better," DeBerry said.
"We set out to create the absolutely leading terrain park in the East, and we'll put our accomplishments up against anyone," he added.
"On the flip side, at Vernon Peak, we've created an entire new experience for more laid back skiers, the mom and dad who want to watch out for the kids, without crowds, without expert snowboarders whizzing past the beginner area to get to the base," DeBerry said. "It's an area for the less hardcore customer, for the novice and intermediate, for families."
