Shanty Creek Scores High With OTS Readers

Known as the "Deer Valley of the Heartland," Shanty Creek, Mich., scored high with OnTheSnow.com visitors. The Creek had the best nightlife and downhill terrain in the Midwest Region, according to visitors to the Web site.

The ratings were based on readers' averages and specific comments made in the reviews over the 2007-08 winter season. Comments praised the resort for its Schuss Mountain downhill slopes and terrain park, family activities, and friendly, helpful staff.
