Deer Mountain is located three miles south of Lead in the Black Hills. But those who buy Deer Mountain season passes can extend their skiing and ski free at 14 different ski areas throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wyoming.
The ski hill's adult season passes are on sale for $160 through Oct. 31. Young adult passes for ages 13-17 cost $140. Juniors, ages 6-12, can purchase passes for $109.
Tots five and under and seniors 70 and older only have to pay $5 for a ski pass. Free lift tickets are available for Deer Mountain passholders when visiting their sister resorts. Take your season pass to show at the ticket counters.
