Before the first snowfall, Les Deux Alpes will hold its annual Mondial du Freeski and Mondial Du Snowboard at the end of October.

This annual tradition marks the first ski event of the season and sees families, friends, and visitors meeting on the glacier, at a height of 3,600 metres, to compare the latest ski and snowboard gear and regain their snow legs before the official start of the season.

The event gives skiers and snowboarders access to 110 hectares of terrain. More than 80 companies will be showing off the very latest ski and snowboard gear for the upcoming season and visitors will have a chance to try before they buy.

Mondial Du Freeski and Snowboard also features various freestyle activities, fun competitions for kids, and professional demonstrations.

This will be the 18th year of the event and, as usual, will be held in the week of All Saints Day. Mondial du Freeski will take place Oct. 25-26 and Mondial du Snowboard Oct. 31-Nov. 2. Visit Les Deux Alpes for more information.
