Echo: Good Thing, Small Package

Echo Mountain may be small, but it makes up for it in location and cost. Echo Mountain may be small, but it makes up for it in location and cost.

Echo Mountain Resort is a rather minuscule hill by Colorado standards – just a couple of lifts and less than 1,000 feet vertical – but it does have several things going for it.

First off, it's the closest lift-serviced ski and snowboard area to Denver, just 35 miles from LoDo.

It's also a pretty inexpensive ride: You can get a no-restrictions season pass for $129. Check it out at Echo Mountain.
