Get your lift tickets and lodging early for your ski vacation in Utah because you don't want to miss out. Well, waiting until you get there to book a ski school lesson - either group or private - may leave you disappointed and even a little angry.

It's not uncommon for ski schools to be "sold out" by September during busy holiday times. New this year for Snowbird Resort are pre-season ePrivates. Pre-purchase private lessons by Nov. 1 and save hundreds of dollars.

You can secure your favorite instructor and save money with a minimum purchase of three half or full-day sessions. For example, a three-day private would normally run $1,800, but you can get the package for $1,650.

Booking dates are available until May 1, 2009. Booking early at Deer Valley Resort won't save you money, but will save a spot in their truly popular private and group ski school. Go to DeerValley.com to book online. Phone lines open Sept. 2.
