"This is an annual tradition for many," said John McGregor, Boyne USA's VP of snowsports operations. "You can gather six of your closest friends and family for a fantastic day on the slopes and only pay the price of one lift ticket!" The tradition of celebrating America's first six-place has continued every year since its installation in 1992. Boyne's other historical firsts include: installation of the Midwest's first chairlift in 1948 at the Mountain; America's first US freestyle exhibition in 1961 at Boyne Mountain; world's first three-place chairlift installed in 1964 and world's first four-place chairlift both installed in 1969 both at the Mountain; Michigan's first high-speed quad chairlift installed in 1990 at the Highlands.
