Ski resorts are struggling to open as much terrain as possible before the New Year. But several warm nights have even hampered snowmaking operations. If you're looking for ski areas that have most of their terrain fully open, you should head for the Twin Cities. Ski areas located within an hours drive - Afton Alps, Buck Hill, Welch Village and Wild Mountain - are at least 85-percent open and a couple are fully open.
