The recent spate of warm weather in northern Oregon has taken a toll on the snow conditions on Mt. Hood's Palmer Snowfield. It forced Timberline to make a tough decision to keep the lifts closed after "our current maintenance period until the snow begins to fly this winter." It will be worth the wait once Mother Nature cooperates. You'll be able to enjoy the new $5 million Jeff Flood Chairlift, a high-speed quad that will service eight new trails and 220 acres of new terrain in the Still Creek Basin.
