The 215 x 115 foot skating rink will have its ice surface maintained by a Zamboni resurfacing machine. A warming hut serving hot beverages and with skate rentals available is attached to the structure. In the summer, the ice will be replaced with a tennis court and basketball court encircled by a jogging track. Nearby, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Spring House, Okemo's new sports, fitness and aquatic facility. Okemo owners Tim and Diane Mueller provided a tour of the 18,000 square foot building which houses a recreational swimming pool with lap lanes, kids pool and a 10 person hot tub in addition to an exercise studio, weight room, racquetball court, saunas, locker rooms and a juice bar.
