New Mexico Seeks Instructors

You can learn about becoming a snowsports instructor in an upcoming three-hour evening introduction. The free clinic is scheduled Oct. 30 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Whole Foods in Santa Fe. The clinic presents an overview of snowsports instruction, including skills, progressions, teaching children, and job responsibilities. The clinic describes what a day at work is like for anyone questioning how much free skiing or riding may be had. PSIA/AASI (Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors) put on the annual clinic geared toward non-members. Ski area representatives also will be on hand to take applications for 2007-2008 winter employment.
