"I haven't seen snow like this during late December for a long time," says Seattle resident Jim Burns. "The new lift is awesome and considering everybody is on holidays, the crowds don't really seem that bad." Much of Washington has been hit with heavy precipitation in late December. Several mountain resorts have issued deep snow advisories.
