One of the things that will look new this year at Wolf Creek is the Summit patrol building on top of Treasure lift. You'll find restrooms at the top of the Raven and Treasure lifts. A lot of trail work and maintenance also has been done. An ongoing problem for many mountain areas are trees infested with the spruce beetle. Some of those trees were removed at Wolf Creek this summer.
Another change is that 100 percent of Wolf Creek's electricity is offset with wind power for winter and summer operations. Wolf Creek's Rental Department has upgraded its ski and snowboard gear with high-end equipment at affordable prices.
Wolf Creek plans to open in early November, snow conditions permitting.
Wolf Creek set an attendance record last season, with 223,000 skier days. It helped that the mountain opened on Oct. 27, the earliest opening to date.
